In “Missing Your People,” Tracy Brower explains the importance of belonging. Describe a time when you felt like you truly belonged. What created that feeling?

Prompt: When I'm near my friends I usually feel a sense of belonging especially when we're talking about topics that we find interest in and find ourselves fully absorbed in. Those times when it's constant banter back and forth about things that interest us is when I'm truly able to feel a sense of belonging. Being with my friends allows me to be vulnerable free and humorous. The way I act around my friends is completely different from the way I act around other people they allow me to feel a sense of belonging and freedom around them.

Summary: I learned by reading the CommonLit assignment that social identity stems from belonging and the people around you.

Reflection: I have learnt to appreciate my friends even more because of the belonging they give to me and that these types of friendships don ´ t come around easily.
